Qualification: Graduates (minimum three year degree course) in any University who have attained minimum 60% marks or equivalent, have passed mathematics and physics at 10+2 level or BE/ B.tech Degree or cleared section A & B examination of associate membership of Institute of engineers(India) or aeronautical society of India from a University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.
Age: 20-24 years (As per 01/07/17).
No. 201/17T/PC/M (Permanent Commission for men).
No. 201/17T/SSC/M & W (Short Service Commission for men & women).
Qualification: Aeronautical Engineer Candidates with minimum 60%marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of BE/ B.tech graduation/ technology from recognized University of cleared section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or aeronautical society of India or Graduate membership. From the Institute of Electrons and Telecommunication Engineers with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in the relevant manners.
Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical): Candidates with minimum 60% marks each in physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of BE/ B.tech graduation /Technology from recognized University integrated post graduation in engineering or clearly sections A and B exams of Associate Membership of Institute of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with a minimum of 60% marks by actual studies or equivalent in the relevant manners.
Age required for the Indian Air Force AFCAT: 20-26 years (As per 01/07/17).
Ground Duty Branches:
- No. 17G/PC/201 (Permanent commission for Men).
- No. 17G/SSC/201/M & W (Short Services Commission for Men & Women).
Qualifications for Indian Air Force AFCAT :
Administration & logistics: Graduate Degree (Minimum three years) from a recognized University with 60%marks or Aeronautical society of India from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent or cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of engineers in India
Accounts: B.com, Degree from a recognized university with a minimum relations/ journalism/ IT/ international studies/ Defense studies/ Psychology/ Mass communication/ computer science/ IT/ management/ Public Relation with a minimum of 50% marks in all paper put together in Post Graduation (minimum two years) and 60%marks in degree (both recognized by Competent Accreditation Authority/ UGC).
