Those who get appointed as a Geologist he has to work in the Ministry of Mines, Central Geological Services Group ‘A’. A Geophysicist has to work for ministry of mines, Central Geological Services Group ‘A’. And a Chemist to server in Chemical Service Geological Survey of India, Group ‘A’.
Jr Hydrologists, who is appointed for Group B has to work with Ground water Board of India.
Exam notification will release on 06 February 2016 and exam date for this exam is 13 May 2016.
Age Limit for Combined Geoscientist and Geology Exam:
21-32 years as on 1st January 2016, age relaxation is available for SC/ST, OBC, PH’s and departmental candidates.
Educational Qualifications for Combined Geoscientist and Geology:
- Master’s degree in Geology/Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognized university; or
- Diploma of Associate ship in Applied Geology of Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad; or
- Master’s degree in Hydrogeology from a recognized university (for posts in CGWB); or
- Mineral exploration Master’s degree from a recognized university (for posts in GSI)

|For Category I candidates have to appear in Papers (i) to (iv) above only and for Category II Papers (i) to (iii) and (v) papers have to appear.|
