Special Class Railway Apprentice Exam SCRA details are given here for the job seekers. The Union Public Service Commission is conducting Special Class Railway Apprentices examination for yearly once. The selected candidates in SCRA exam will undergo for a graduate program in Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Jamalpur.
Under Graduate Program UPSC Special Class Railway Apprentice:
The selected candidates Special Class Railway apprentice exam will go for a four year Mechanical Engineering training with the semester system of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchy. Workshop training sessions will be conducted during holidays at BIT, Mesra. In training period a candidate get Rs. 9100/- stipend and dearness allowances. And medical care, privilege passes, etc. They are all adopted by the Indian Railways with all high class facilities at Gymkhana Jamalpur, their stipend also increases year by year. After successful training they will get group A service join as Indian Railway Services Engineer Officers in Indian Railways.
The Special Class Railway Apprentice Examination comprises written test in Physics, English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Mental Ability Test, and General Knowledge. Those who are qualified written test will be called for an interview followed by a medical examination. Exam syllabus is based on CBSE XII or its equivalent. Probable pass percentage for final candidates is 0.02. Only 42 seats available for Special Class Railways Recruitment Apprentice program.
Age limits for the Special Class Railway Apprentice:
Age in between 17-21 as on August 1st of every year. Age relaxations are applicable as per Indian government.
Educational Qualification for Special Class Railway Apprentice:
A candidate must qualify intermediate level by any recognized Board or University at least a second division in the streams of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are one of the subjects.
